Science Friday: Color Changing Milk

For today's science experiment I chose
Color Changing Milk.

What you need:
- Cotton Swabs
-Dish washing liquid
-Milk
-Food Coloring
-Plates

We covered the bottom of each plate with milk and then added 8 drops of food coloring
 around the edges.
(You could add however much you want.)

Mr F's plate will be on the left and Miss P's plate will be on the right.

It took a bit before we really saw the movement of the colors.
As a 7 year old boy, Mr F found it rather hard to wait for the dish soap to do the job.
He did jiggle his plate once.

About half-way through these pictures we decided to play some games and just kept checking our plates for changes. The pictures were taken over the course of around 30 minutes.
If we were to do this again I think I would place the colors randomly around the plate instead of just at the edges.
