Fizzy Fun

We do art time at 3 o'clock each school day and the kids like it. But I decided I wanted to throw in some science experiments on occasion.
I finally remembered to find and purchase some items for our first experience.

We did the classic baking soda and vinegar experiment.
The kids LOVED it!

Here are some pictures of the fun.

Miss J
(As a side note, we have significantly less J names around here now than when I first arrived. Five of our J kids have left with their adoptive families and two of them have gone home with their birth families after becoming healthy again. We are down to only one Miss J, one Mr J and one Baby J.)

Once they had used up all the baking soda in their dishes we started again with fresh baking soda.

Once they got to the end of the good baking soda Miss J started putting vinegar in as quickly as she could. She thought it was great fun.
"Look, it's brown!"

Miss P started dumping all the left over vinegar into her bowl.

Mr F grabbed what was left to complete our dessert.

Would you like some dessert?
