Another New Face

We got another new baby a few days ago.

Sweet Baby D is in now in our Malnourish Center.

This is Baby D after 4 days here.

I can't wait to see how much he will change in the next few weeks!

Funny Faces

Today some of the kids decided to share their funny faces with me. I decided to pass the enjoyment on to you.

Here is the D Man.

This one almost looks painful...or maybe stinky. :p

 The R Man

Little Miss S wanted in on the fun.

Miss A

She thought it was hysterical that I got a picture of her sticking out her tongue.

"Funny faces are serious business."

I crack up every time I look at this one!

Roommates

When I first got here I had no idea who I would be rooming with. For someone who hasn't had to share a room with anyone for an extended length of time in nearly 20 years I wasn't sure how I well I would cope. When I arrived I was introduced to Ayla who would be my roommate. God blessed me with someone who meshed with me very well. We are both night owls and were on the afternoon/evening shift so we slept in and stayed up late reading or talking more times than I can remember. For 3 months we shared a room and had several shorter term roommates at times.

Here we have 'A, A, A', not sure if they are batteries or an auto club.
: )

I had to say good-bye to her the day I left for Manila as she was heading home while I was gone. When I returned from Manila the room just felt empty and odd.

'A & A'

Ayla, I'm so glad God saw fit for us to meet and become friends. You are missed. I pray for God's leading in your life and for you to continually draw closer to Him.

Good-Byes

Sometimes we get new kids and sometimes we have to say good-bye to others.

We recently said good-bye to Little Miss L.

One week after we said good-bye to Little Miss L we said good-bye to
Princess J.

While we are sad to not have their beautiful smiles around here we are
very happy to see them united with their adoptive families!

Jesus, please let them grow up to know, love and serve You!

New Kids On Our Block

We have some new(ish) children around here that I wanted to introduce you to. Some are brand new and others have come within the last 2 months while my computer was down.

Here we have Little Miss A.

The transition for Little Miss A has been tough.

She is doing better now.

Along with her came Baby H.
(He frequently has his tongue out like this. Too cute!)

Yes, I know his hair is in a ponytail but it really is a boy.
He is such a little snuggle bug!

After Baby H we have...

Sweet Baby L.

She likes to smile and coo when you talk to her now.

And lest you think all our children and babies do is smile,
here is some proof of the crying. : )

After Sweet Baby L comes...

Tiny Baby M.

Don't let his adorably chubby cheeks fool you, he really is very little.
Here he noticed his fist, can you see his little eyes crossing to see it?

Next is our brand new Baby S.

He has a club foot and will start casting pretty soon to treat it.

After him is another Baby M.

I must say that I find him adorable when he is happy or crying screaming.

And last but not least is previously VERY tiny...
Little Miss P.
This picture was after she had been here for about 1 week. She had already put on a good deal of weight by this time, though it's hard to believe.

This is her now after being here for one month.

So sweet.

That's it for now...although I hear we may get another one soon! :)

Birthday Babies

It's been awhile since I posted about a birthday kid. Not because they haven't been having birthdays but because being without my computer and going through the holidays cut down on blog posts.
So to make up for lost timehere are the Birthday Babies... of the last month... or so.

First we have Little J man.
(I promise his cake really did have his name on it... I just have to blur it out for the blog.)
He was quite happy to have everyone sing to him.

Time to open your present! What did you get J man?

"Really, are you sure this is for me?"- J man

"Well, they say it's mine."

Time for cake!

"Spoons are over rated."

Next we have Little C.
He wasn't so sure about the singing.

Time for Little C's present.
What do you have there C?

""Why is there a puppy on my present?"

"A whole sheet of paper just for me!"

C eating his cake. He likes it.

"Do we get cake every day now that we are one?"

And last but not least, we have Rag Doll.
She was rather confused by all the attention and singing.

Kuya John brought in a flower for Rag Doll.

She was so surprised to receive a flower for her birthday.

"For me?"

"Does it have enough water?"

"Thanks Kuya John, I love the flower."

Blow out the candle Rag Doll.

"Oh, this looks like a good place to rest my hand."

Too cute!

A taste of frosting.

"What is that stuff?"

"Yummy!"

Present time.
"Do I have to open it? I kind of like just holding it."

What is inside?

"Was that suppose to be in there?"

"What are you going to do with this lovely paper?"

"Ok, I'll hug the bunny."

What you don't see is that right after this picture she was DONE! :)

I know I had a LOT more pictures of Rag Doll than I did of the boys. We did a combined party for the boys because the J man was sick on his birthday. We waited until he was better and just did it the same time as Little C's. It wasn't as easy to get lots of pictures of the boys because they weren't interested in being models for very long and I was on duty taking care of the babies. Rag Doll, on the other hand, was up for the job and it was my day off.
