Water Play

We have water play scheduled several days a week, weather permitting, and the children love it. I thought I'd share a bit of the fun with you but be careful or you might get wet too!

First an Ate fills up the tables with soapy water. You may wonder why it's soapy water (I did when I first came). The soap is to help prevent boils from occurring on the children's skin. Not something we have to think about back in the States huh?

After it's ready then bring on the water toys. This is the bigger kids table.

Here is the smaller kids table.

Miss A made me some cookies. Don't they look delicious!

Mr R has no reservations about sharing his opinion about water play. He LOVES it!

He even likes it when another kid pours a cup of water on his head.

"Ate Mindi, would you like to get wet? I can help you!"

"Look! It's raining and we have cake!"

Miss N is serious about her water play. She frequently sings as she works plays.

Mr. D didn't want to stay at the little kids table so he climbed up to have a go at the big table.

"Come join us Ate Mindi. We have room at our table."

Miss A and Miss J were in time out when I took this picture but I didn't know it at the time.

Sheer joy!

Mr J thought he'd hang out for a while.

And we had a bit more of the 'monkey see, monkey do' going on so Miss M had to have a turn hanging out as well.

Little Miss R was having a rough day and didn't want to join the water play so she just held the swing down so the wind wouldn't blow it away.

Mr F was having fun with a pop bottle.

"Hey, LOOK!"

Mr J decided to come over for a turn at the table.

"Miss J, what are you playing with?"

Look out! It's raining again!

Little Miss L says, "Come play with us again some time!"
