Monkey See, Monkey Do

This afternoon as we were playing outside, Miss J decided to climb a tree.

And as the saying goes...monkey see, monkey do. Miss A decided a climb was of utmost importance as well.

Then of course Mr W, in red, and Mr J, in green joined the fun.

Climbing is serious business and takes lots of concentration, too much of course to give Ate Mindi a smile while climbing.

Oh the fun to be had.

Mr R had to show them how fast he could shimmy up the tree. He was by far the fastest!

However, not all the monkeys were in the tree. Some chose to ride bikes like Mr J here.

Others chose to give Ate Mindi the stink eye when she came close with the camera... but then wanted to see the picture. =)

Later we went for a walk and ended up at the local basket ball court. The children enjoyed climbing around.
This is Miss M. She LOVES to have her picture taken and will tell me, "Me like picture." (We are working on the proper was to say it but it's a process.)

Little Miss W here has started giving me silly faces when she sees the camera.

There is Miss M on the left, then Miss R in the white and Miss N in the pink.

Mr J climbed the highest.

Miss P has just recently joined us here at Ruel and her personality is just starting to show now. She doesn't know much English yet but she has learned how to ask for a picture from Ate Mindi. =)

Little Miss L is hard to get good pictures of because when she is playing she is very involved and doesn't have time to pose for me. Here she wanted me to lift her down so it was a good opportunity to catch her facing me with a smile.

Little Miss N came home with a blister on her foot from her shoe and looking at this picture I realized she was wearing them on the wrong feet. I'll have to watch better next time, poor thing.

Like I said, Miss P's personality is coming out now. I thought I was going to get a sweet picture of Miss P and Miss M. Maybe next time.

We got there and realized we should have brought a ball with us but that didn't stop the kids from having fun. They took off their shoes and used them to make baskets with.

They only got one shoe stuck in the net and some guys who were hanging around got it out for us thankfully.
